World Salsa Solo 2024! 🙌🏽✨️😁

Duet Bachata on Friday for the girls!
3rd for @karp.aus & John 🥉for BachaTango on Saturday followed by 1st to @anya_safron 🥇with her ProAm Bachata with Mitch! I placed 2nd in Professional Mixed Latin Solo category and 1st in ChaCha Solo🥇

So proud of the girls! They smashed it, and held themselves with just grace! They gave me facials and had the best run! I love those 2 girls and loved every minute of working with them 🫶🏽👯

I love the World Salsa Solo event, and the best part is always the fun, great vibes, everyone cheering for everyone! Watching the next generation! 🙌🏽🥰 4 days of workshops and competitions, 3 nights of social dancing til the 1am cut-off (disclaimer I only did Sat & Sun 😅) and barely made it out alive 😂 haha with the battle wounds to prove it!

The bottom of my shoes completely peeled off on Saturday before I had to compete the following morning 😬 so I bought new ones from @dance_fever_aus.. but as most of you know, new shoes not worn in = not good 😂 I have some BIG sore blister to prove it! Haha worth it though 😏✨️🙌🏽 and I'm tough 💪🏽

Huge thanks and congratulations to Carlos & Ellie for an amazing event! Always so efficient and entertaining, with quality internationals, workshops and competitions! 👌🏽✨️🕺💃 Great MCs, great venue, only great things to say!

Let me tell you something amazing... 3 years ago, all these wonderful women were strangers!!!

Some of them had danced when they were younger, some had never danced before.. they were nervous and anxious to come to class, but they did it anyway! 😁🙌🏽

And I'm sooooo glad they did! We have become like family. Our kids are friends! We cry with each other, celebrate with each other, and are always there for each other! ❤️❤️

Most people think our classes are for fun, 😁 exercise, 💪🏽 physical and mental health, 🫶🏽 absolutely they are, you get all of those benefits, plus you decrease your cortisol (stress) and release endorphins! ✨️

But what you also get is community 🥰: a village of women who support and encourage each other, who are there for each other and always show up.. whether you need a hug, a shoulder to cry on, some guidance, or just to chat about the many challenges that come along with being a mum! 🤗🤗

If your reading this and could use some incredible women and friends in your corner... come and join us! Motherhood is sooo much better and so much fun when you don't have to do it alone, when you surround yourself with mum friends who don't judge or compare and will always cheer you on 🙌🏽✨️❤️❤️

How do you ensure your little one is doing a variety of activities to improve and develop their skills in all areas??

I make a weekly list of activities to keep me accountable, and it means i don’t have to continually come up with ideas.. 🙌🏽🙌🏽 I tick off each activity as they are completed 😄✅ they don’t have to be done on the allocated days, you have to be flexible and adapt when it comes to 3 year olds, but we try to complete all tasks over the week!!

Being a mum can be sooooo busy, and we already have a million things to do…. it’s easy to forget these things or the week is over when it feels like yesterday was Monday 😂😅

I find this activity list so useful and also a helpful guide when Presley wants to do something together

*disclaimer while we do our very best there are some weeks we just don’t tick off everything!! but that’s more than ok because i know what things to do the following week to make sure she is developing in all areas 🥰🤩

**double disclaimer sorry my daughter tried to show her undies - there’s an insight to my parenting style. it’s important to ask only once, after setting the boundary then taking the lead. i don’t see any value in asking nicely 4, 5, 6 times then yelling because it’s frustrating when you have to ask something 10 times.. but also i support everyone in this parenting journey. whatever works best for you ❤️❤️❤️

One of the best parts of these classes are the friendships we've made! 🥰🥰 not only for me but for Presley too! ✨️✨️ We have had mummas and kids come to classes as strangers but are now part of our family and couldn't imagine life without them 🤗🤗

I have created a space for mums to come have a laugh and some fun, to be encouraged and supported with no judgement on what you do or how you do it ❤️❤️

A place where mums can do something positive for their physical, mental and emotional health, while their babies and kids are there! 🙌🏽🙌🏽

It's easy as mums to put ourselves last on the look after list, but we are the glue of our family. When we are our best selves, everyone around us benefits, especially our family! 😁😁

45 minutes to think about something else other than being a mum and the 1000 (more) things that comes along with! Something to help gain confidence and love your new mum body - which you totally should because it created a whole little person... functioning brain, eye balls, bones - like how amazing are our bodies to do that! 🤯🤩

Our Mini & Me classes are for any caregiver and their little ones! 😁✨️ Yes, that means DADS, GRANDPARENTS, AUNTIES and EVERYONE! You can bring your babies (from 6 weeks), big kids, or multiple kiddies. 🤱🏽👫👭👬

These 45 minute fitness classes are an amazing way to get in your exercise while having lots of fun with the whole family. 🤩🥰 Classes include a warmup, cardio set, & a new dance each week & finish with baby boogie (time at the end to dance around with our little ones). ZERO experience required, no coordination needed, if you can walk and count to 8 this class is for you! 👌🏽😁😁 You can even bring 2 left feet 🦶🏽🦶🏽 to follow along the easy fun steps, with a chance always for some freestyle moves. 💃🕺🙌🏽

You can baby wear, leave bub in the pram, or pop them down on the play mat provided. The bigger kids can be loud, play or run, we want them to have just as much fun! 🥳🥳 Whatever works best for you works best for us! It’s a fantastic way to meet and make friends, in an uplifting, positive space doing an activity beneficial to your physical, mental, and emotional health.
